Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for early to mid-career Civil Engineer with curiosity, personal drive and technical knowhow. You will be part of the growing multi-disciplinary water team, undertaking the design and delivery of critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in civil engineering and a passion for sustainable water management.
Within this role you will design and develop solutions to meet project objectives, including performing design calculations, creating engineering drawings and sketches, and preparing specifications and reports for water and wastewater infrastructure projects such as pipelines, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. Additionally, you will conduct root cause analysis, feasibility studies, hydraulic modelling, and technical assessments. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll collaborate and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other specialists. Ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety, and CDM regulations is a key aspect of the role. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team, while supporting innovation in sustainable design, climate resilience, and digital engineering.
At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.
You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.
