We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters. Job Description RESPEC seeks a mid-level civil engineer located in our Juneau, Fairbanks, Anchorage, AK locations. The Engineer will work with a team of multi-discipline engineers/EITs in preparing professional work products, including water and wastewater utility design, site grading, stormwater management, sediment and erosion control, and Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation permitting. Additional responsibilities include: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve our clients’ technical challenges Develop project designs, plan drawings, engineering reports, technical specifications, and other contract deliverables Track project progress within established project scopes, budgets, and schedules and alert project managers of any issues that may affect them Support other market sectors on design projects as workload dictates Prepare clear and concise written communications and participate in client and team meetings Present design projects, as required, as part of outreach to clients and the public Conduct research and write technical portions of proposals to assist in bringing in new work We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering An Alaska Professional Civil Engineer license, or ability to obtain within 1 year 5+ years of Civil Engineering experience with an emphasis on design Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel) An eye for detail and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel Preferred Qualifications: AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience (support will be provided by drafting technicians and EITs). GIS and 5+ years of cold region experience Additional Information Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package.
