Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Whipple Consulting Engineers is presently seeking qualified candidates for a Civil Engineer PE in our Spokane Valley, WA office (Hybrid options available on a case by case basis). Compensation depends on experience.
Projects primarily include private sector land development type projects in the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area, however WCE serves the entire Northwestern United States.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, four to seven years experience and PE Licensure.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and experience of civil engineering principles and advanced knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of Civil engineering.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Proficiency would mean active Civil3D experience, plan preparation and grading.
Must have had drainage or stormwater coursework or experience as well as studies in water analysis and an introduction to Traffic engineering.

Responsibilities:
Participate in multi-disciplinary teams on projects.
Coordinate with project managers, project engineers, clients, regulatory agencies, and subcontractors.
Perform engineering tasks under close supervision; engineering problem solving and solutions a must.
Use experience, judgment and education but expected to ask for assistance when needed.
Researches/reviews code and permitting requirements for project sites as directed.
Prepare, under guidance, reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental checklists, and civil designs for projects.
