Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing detailed drawings, sketches, charts, plans and designs for civil engineering works, including drainage, water supply, sewerage systems, roads, bridges and other structures.
• Supporting Civil Engineering Professionals and Engineering Technologists with technical drawings and project documentation.
• Interpreting work assignment instructions, specifications and design requirements.
• Applying appropriate drafting procedures and selecting suitable software, tools and equipment.
• Reviewing drawings and plans to ensure they comply with specifications, regulations and contract requirements.
• Assisting with cost estimates, material quantities and project documentation where required.

Essential Requirements

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or
• At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role is required.
