As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team. This role is pivotal in developing precise technical drawings and supporting the planning and execution of structural steel projects.

REQUIREMENTS - CAPABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor in Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil drafting, preferably within structural steel, infrastructure, or construction.
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit.
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of geotechnical and structural analysis tools is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret engineering data, perform computations, and ensure design accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Australian building codes, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to liaise with engineers, architects, and contractors.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is beneficial for supplier and stakeholder coordination.

    Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Producing detailed drawings, plans, and schematics for steel structures, foundations, and related civil works.
  • Assisting in the design of drainage, roads, and other site infrastructure to support steel frame installations.
  • Conducting site assessments and collaborating with engineers to ensure designs meet technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Analysing survey data, performing calculations, and preparing material quantity estimates.
  • Reviewing project specifications to ensure compliance with Australian standards and contract conditions.
  • Coordinating with construction teams to troubleshoot design issues and oversee quality control.
  • Supervising material testing and evaluating soil and construction material reports.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and updating project plans as needed.
