THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Diploma of Civil Construction and Design or related field.
• Understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated experience working in consulting or construction environment
• Experience with design and analysis software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet required deadlines whilst maintaining a high quality of work
• Self-motivated and the ability to work autonomously and part of a team

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a permanent full-time Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team and provide drafting support to the Engineering department on projects within the telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong drive to embrace technology and implement innovative work methods while continuously striving for improvement.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct site design visits and inspections when required
• Preparing sketches, charts, tabulations, plans and designs for civil engineering works such as drainage, water supply and telecommunication structures
• Interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment
• Collecting and analysing data, and carrying out computations
• Estimating material costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
• Inspecting civil engineering works, and organising and supervising maintenance and repair work
• Conducting field and laboratory tests of construction materials and soils, and collecting data for surveys
• Complete structural design and verification of new antenna supporting structures or upgrade existing structures
• Coordinate and maintain standards, templates and file structures
• Review all client specifications to ensure design Quality Assurance criteria is met
• Prepare hand over packs, variation quotes, revised design briefs and construction drawings
