We operate across the full property value chain, including land acquisition, development and construction. As we expand, we are looking for a capable Civil Engineering Technician to join our Sydney team.
The Opportunity
As a Civil Engineering Technician, you will provide on-site technical support across residential land subdivision and building construction projects. You will assist with civil engineering documentation, site inspections, construction material testing, technical data collection and quality verification to help ensure civil works meet engineering specifications, relevant regulations and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct site measurements, setting out, levelling and surveying activities for civil construction works; prepare accurate field records, sketches and technical documentation.
• Interpret civil engineering drawings, subdivision plans, construction specifications and engineering instructions, translating technical requirements into practical site applications.
• Inspect and monitor earthworks, drainage systems, roadworks, retaining structures and related infrastructure works for compliance with approved designs, specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct and coordinate field testing of construction materials and soils; collect and record test data and assist engineers to assess material quality and construction performance.
• Prepare technical reports, site records, drawings, charts, tabulations, material quantity calculations and progress documentation.
• Liaise with the project management team to track construction schedules and promptly identify delays or technical risks.
• Assist Civil Engineering Professionals with cost estimates, minor design adjustments and as-built drawing updates throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, local council inspectors, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve on-site technical issues.
• Monitor construction compliance and WHS requirements, immediately reporting potential hazards and non-compliance.
About You
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Engineering Management.
