REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in civil construction or engineering support roles
  • Sound understanding of structural and civil services in building and infrastructure projects
  • Proficient in reading and producing technical drawings and documentation
  • Experienced in AutoCAD or equivalent drafting tools
  • Familiar with WHS standards, site safety, and quality assurance procedures
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with both engineering and site teams
  • Well-organised, detail-focused, and capable of working independently
  • Bilingual ability is an advantage due to the multicultural work environment
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is responsible for providing essential technical support across our construction projects, assisting with site layout, drawing interpretation, quality assurance, and on-site coordination. The position works closely with our construction managers, architects, engineers, and trades teams to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality project outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, familiar with modern construction practices, and capable of contributing to multiple phases of project execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist civil engineers in interpreting and implementing construction plans to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and industry standards
  • Prepare, interpret, and update technical drawings and site layout plans using AutoCAD or similar software
  • Conduct on-site measurements and surveys to verify dimensions, elevations, and alignment of structures and civil components
  • Monitor construction processes and materials to ensure adherence to technical and quality requirements
  • Perform routine inspections of structural, plumbing, and underground works, reporting any issues or non-compliance
  • Collect and document site data to support engineering assessments and design validation
  • Track project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and support timely execution
  • Liaise with site supervisors, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues and coordinate tasks
  • Participate in site meetings to contribute to discussions on safety, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Support WHS compliance by assisting with inspections, hazard reporting, and follow-up actions
