Our work sits at the intersection of building science, civil and construction investigation, indoor environmental assessment and property remediation. We undertake technical investigations involving building materials, moisture, water damage, mould, soil and environmental conditions, contamination and property damage.
Due to continued development of our technical services, we are seeking a qualified Civil Engineering Technician to join our Sydney-based team.
The Role The Civil Engineering Technician will undertake field investigations, testing, technical data collection and reporting in support of building, civil, environmental and remediation projects.
The position combines civil engineering technician functions with practical building and environmental investigation work and will involve regular attendance at residential, commercial and institutional properties.
Key responsibilities will include
- undertaking site inspections and assisting with technical investigations of buildings, structures and affected materials;
- collecting, recording and analysing field data relevant to building condition, construction materials, moisture intrusion, water damage and environmental conditions;
- undertaking and assisting with field testing, measurements and sampling of building materials, soil and other materials where required;
- using moisture meters, thermal imaging equipment and other field instrumentation to identify moisture migration and potentially affected building materials;
