Metropolitan Consulting is a Hamilton based Consulting firm offering services to public and private sector clients in the fields of land use planning, Development engineering, Municipal engineering and Stormwater management. The company is in its Thirty-Second year working primarily in the Hamilton area.
We are currently seeking one candidate.
The successful candidate must have an understanding in Construction Inspection of municipal infrastructure installation, including record taking, gathering of as-constructed information, topographical surveying may also be required as assigned.
Surveying including Level loops, total station and GPS topographical surveys, construction Inspection as well as exceptional note taking and communication skills are all an asset.
Additional tasks will include drafting using AutoCAD/ Civil 3D, as it pertains to municipal servicing for road reconstruction, and land development, as assigned.
This position encourages growth and development of fundamental skills that have been acquired to date. Day to day tasks will mainly focus on drafting and design for underground services for roadway reconstruction, and land development.
The successful candidate will need a valid driver’s license and the use of their own vehicle.

Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technician/Technologist
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
