Are you a detail-driven Civil Estimator looking to grow your career with a forward-thinking and supportive team? We’re looking for a talented professional to join us in estimating Civil Excavation projects, with exciting exposure to Geo-synthetic Liner work.

JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Managing Director & Estimator, with real opportunities for advancement into a Lead Estimator position as we continue to expand.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of estimating experience in the civil construction industry, with a proven track record of delivering successful and competitive tenders
  • Strong experience and confidence with estimating software
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and/or BEAMS software is highly desirable
  • Solid knowledge of Australian civil earthworks is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and prepare detailed take-offs
  • High level of analytical, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey technical and cost-related information
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team environment

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates from first principles
  • Plan, program, and schedule project timelines and resources
  • Complete quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost analysis
  • Issue RFQs, evaluate supplier quotes, and assist in tender document preparation
  • Track tenders and job opportunities; prepare regular reports
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest value engineering alternatives
  • Analyze all project components including labor, materials, equipment, permits, and risks.
