JOB OVERVIEW

On-Track Earthworx Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Earthworks Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in earthworks with a focus on commercial construction. The ability to negotiate effectively and build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. This role is essential for ensuring accurate cost assessments and successful project execution. Experience developing new business relationships with potential clients will be a key responsibility of the position. Experience in estimating scopes of work closely related to earthworks such as environmental remediation and underground services will be considered an asset.

SKILLS

• 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of industry standards.
• Proficient in using estimating related software such as Bluebeam, Insite Elevation, and Excel.
• Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage contracts and pricing agreements.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in pricing and estimation processes.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks and provide solutions for cost management.

Experience:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
• Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and Insite to create precise bid proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers and other members of the team to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
• Negotiate terms with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best pricing and contractual agreements.
• Monitor project budgets and provide ongoing cost analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines based on estimated costs.
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.
