Centerfire is currently seeking a self motivated, experienced individual to join our workforce as a Light Civil Construction Supervisor -
We take significant pride in bringing on new crew members with expertise in supervision, leadership, in addition to their other practical skills such as knowledge of heavy equipment operation and efficient construction methods.
Schedule: Day Shift,12 hours per day. 14 Days on 7 Days off, overtime when available.
Job Location: Fort McMurray- Suncor Base plant. Local hires are preferred, LOA (Local incentive) eligible. No Camp provided.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A strong safety culture.
  • Ability to supervise crews ranging from 5 - 20 people
  • 3 years experience in a heavy equipment focused construction leadership role.
  • 5-10 Years experience in the construction industry.
  • Must be able to meet pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing requirements.
  • Ability to complete pre-employment online orientations and certifications.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 drivers license and provide a 5 year drivers abstract that meets insurance requirements.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong understanding of how to interpret engineered construction drawings is preferred.
  • Experience working along side surveyors in the field to achieve project goals.
  • Basic level of computer skills required to complete foreman reports and pull digital safe work permits.

Responsibilities
  • Attend supervisor meetings and preform daily toolbox talks with crew
  • Complete daily supervisor reports
  • Coordinate equipment needs and light duty vehicle utilization and maintenance with the site manager.
  • Work with site management and site superintendent to plan work activities and schedule accordingly
  • Adhere to and ensure all health and safety standards and procedures are being followed to highest standard.
