Description

We are looking for experienced civil works/excavation foreman to join our team.

The foreman’s duties are:

  • Supervising and coordinating daily activities of field crews.
  • Fill daily logs, keep track of crew hours, trucks, progress, etc.
  • Coordinate with superintendents and/or project management and ensure all resources (people, materials, and equipment) are in place each day.
  • Operating heavy equipment such as excavators and loaders.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and project specifications
  • Monitor and report project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance

Qualifications, Experience & Skillset

  • 5 years of experience as lead hand or foreman, and a solid understanding of all aspects of Civil works and Earthworks
  • Extensive knowledge of water and sewer main installation
  • Extensive knowledge of shoring installation
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and safety regulations
  • Proficient in the operation of various excavation equipment
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License and be able to travel to sites across the region.
  • First aid, confined space, and fall protection training is an asset.
  • Flexibility with hours worked, including overtime and weekend work as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
