PPosition: Civil Inspector
Industry: Engineering Consultant – High-Rise Construction
Location: Dubai, UAE

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and inspect contractor construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Identify non-conformances, issue site instructions or NCRs, and verify corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, to resolve site issues.
• Ensure all works adhere to local authority regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Review and verify construction documents, checklists, and material submittals for compliance.
• Monitor site safety practices and report any unsafe conditions.
• Verify all quality control procedures and checklists are properly implemented on site.
• Provide daily updates to the Resident Engineer (RE), thoroughly documenting site activities, progress, and issues as required.
• Witness and verify construction activities and tests - such as concrete pouring, rebar fixing, excavation, and material testing - to meet project specifications.
• Conduct thorough inspections of contractor-supplied materials upon delivery to the site, verifying their conformity with approved submittals, specifications, and quality standards before allowing their use in execution.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Civil Inspector with a consultant.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Valid UAE driving license.
• The ability to join immediately is highly preferred.
