JOB TITLE: CIVIL INSPECTOR

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Experience Required: Minimum 8+ years in UAE, including 5+ years in consultancy
Project Type: Large-scale building projects in the UAE
Notice Period: 0–30 days (Immediate joiners preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8+ years of civil inspection experience in the UAE, with at least 5 years in an engineering consultancy.
  • Strong background in large-scale building projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering standards, construction practices, and UAE municipal requirements.
  • Familiarity with inspection and quality reporting tools/software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Experience working under Abu Dhabi regulations is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of civil works at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor and assess the workmanship and materials used in the construction of large-scale building projects, ensuring adherence to approved plans and local authority regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports, highlighting non-conformance, quality issues, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Liaise effectively with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve on-site issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, building codes, and Abu Dhabi authority regulations.
  • Review and approve construction materials and methodologies, verifying alignment with required specifications and standards.
  • Perform routine site visits to monitor progress and quality in line with project timelines.
  • Support quality control procedures and coordinate on-site material testing as required.
  • Offer technical guidance to site personnel to ensure clear understanding of the project’s quality and compliance expectations.
  • Maintain continuous communication with all stakeholders including clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
