Responsibilities: Responsible for performing quality control inspection and documentation in accordance with approved written procedures Monitors, witnesses, documents, and reviews documents of materials, components, and systems testing both on site and off site Participates in the contractor’s material receiving activities by surveillance, documentation review and sign-off, as appropriate Documents the inspections of contract work to verify that it is in conformance with the Contract Documents Develops, or reviews and signs off on required inspection checklists and test results Participates in the inspection of specially furnished equipment and construction materials Observes and inspects field sampling and testing of materials by other entities Documents non-conforming conditions, verifies Contractor’s activities and results of efforts to assure correction and prevention of recurrence Performs other tasks as directed by the Resident Engineer Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent 10 years of experience in heavy construction – track/rail experience Tunnel / Bridge experience a plus ICC and ACI Required We are unable to provide Sponsorship at this time Ability to commute/relocate: Los Angeles, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work Required Schedule: 8 hour-shift – In-person Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Salary Range: $104,000 - $187,200 Benefits: Employer-paid Medical, Dental, Vision insurance PTO, Paid Holidays, 401K Zephyr Rail is an equal opportunity employer We look forward to hearing from you!
