Laborer Journeyman    SUMMARY   Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer Journeyman that will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.    RESPONSIBILITIES  * Load and unload equipment  * Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging  * Level ground for scaffolding  * Tend mortar and grout  * Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets  * General cleanup and clearing of debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and unloading or burning debris  * Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete  * Vibrate concrete  * Provide work direction and guidance to Laborer I, II, Helpers, and Apprentice  * Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels  * All other duties as assigned     QUALIFICATIONS  * Completion of two-year apprenticeship program  * Experience in construction preferred  * Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies  * Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback  * Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements  * *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.  * Please note: this position description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
