Description

The Legal Assistant will play a key role in supporting the firm’s civil litigation attorneys. This position involves managing a wide range of administrative and legal tasks, ensuring that cases are handled efficiently and effectively from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting attorneys with all aspects of civil litigation matters
  • Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Filing legal documents with the courts (both electronically and manually)
  • Organizing and maintaining physical and digital case files
  • Managing calendars, scheduling court dates, meetings, and depositions
  • Assisting with trial preparation, including compiling exhibit binders and coordinating witnesses
  • Communicating professionally with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a legal assistant/credit controller/ secretary
  • Strong understanding of litigation processes and court filing procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently and collaboratively

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £28,000.00 per year
