Description

We are seeking a Civil or Structural Technologist to join our client’s dynamic team in Regina. This role blends technical drafting and coordinating, with occasional fieldwork.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or a related field. Preference for Civil or Structural backgrounds.
  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience in consulting with a focus on building-related work.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent). Technical drawing and detailing skills.
  • Experience with site inspections, measurements, or testing is an asset.
  • Very knowledgeable with Canadian building codes, standards, and construction practices. Knowledge and exposure to the tending package process.
  • Strong communication skills is a must.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare building envelope drawings using CAD software. Assist others in the creation of other building-related work.
  • Support Senior and Project Engineers with cost estimates for capital repair and replacement projects.
  • Conduct onsite inspections to gather measurements, document existing conditions, and support project designs.
  • Perform field quality assurance checks on repair/replacement projects to ensure work aligns with design specifications.
  • Draft technical reports and summaries based on inspections and field observations.
  • Help investigate and develop practical technical solutions for issues identified on-site.
  • Maintain clear project communication, documentation, and reporting.
  • Take on additional drafting and field support tasks as needed.
