Job Description Civil Project Engineer We’re looking for an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our team based in the Waikato. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will provide hands on management for specific operations, offering technical support to supervisors and driving successful project outcomes. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assisting end-to-end planning, allocation of resources, and coordination of work for both internal and external clients. You’ll play a key role in ensuring all targets are not just met, but exceeded—covering project delivery, technical input, safety, quality, budgets, scheduling, and overall project outcomes. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will: Previous experience in a similar role, and ideally a relevant tertiary qualification (BE or NZDE) Must be a New Zealand resident or citizen. Take responsibility for forward planning, organising, ordering materials and subcontractors. Competence in project management tools and software used for planning, scheduling, and monitoring construction activities. Familiarity with local industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Passion and commitment to safety in the workplace. Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Hold a full class 1 driver’s licence.
