Description

We are recruiting a Project Manager to lead the delivery of a commercial build in South Dublin. The role involves managing the full civil and groundworks package on-site.
Our client is growing in the civil engineering and groundworks sector, delivering excellence across major infrastructure and construction projects throughout Ireland.
Expertise includes site supervision, enabling works, earthworks, groundworks, utilities, concrete structures, paving, landscaping, and site demobilisation. As a proud partner with Tier 1 contractors, the company brings technical know-how, reliability, and innovation to every project.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience managing civil engineering/groundworks projects within a live construction environment.
  • Proven experience delivering civil packages for major build projects (sports facilities, commercial builds, educational facilities, etc.).
  • Strong technical knowledge across drainage, utilities, foundations, kerbing, surfacing, pathways, concrete works, and site enabling works.
  • Previous experience liaising with Tier 1 contractors highly advantageous.
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent trade experience).
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Strong focus on Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental compliance.
  • Full clean driver’s licence.
Responsibilities
  • Full project management responsibility for civil and groundworks elements, reporting directly to senior leadership.
  • Manage all aspects of drainage, foundations, utilities (ESB, water, fibre ducting), kerbing, concrete structures, paving, surface works, lighting installations, pathways, signage, and related infrastructure.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise site operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
  • Programme and sequence work in line with the Tier 1 contractor’s overall project schedule.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
  • Lead site meetings, manage day-to-day site documentation, reports, and progress updates.
  • Manage site set-up, logistics, and demobilisation activities.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to maintain project delivery timelines and budgets.
