Job Description The service holder is responsible, within the Marsa LNG Bunkering Project for following-up, monitoring and supervising QC Civil (the discipline) activities carried out by the Contractor and Subcontractor at the main Construction site during the Construction phase, ensuring that his discipline’s contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by Contractor and/or Subcontractors. In this respect, and to ascertain that the facilities are built as per the project requirements, the job holder verifies that Contractor’s and/or Subcontractors’ have adequate equipment, resources, means and manpower to perform the job with the required quality level and to compete it in due time. He reports on a day-to-day basis directly to the Site Quality Lead. As a general manner, the service holder aids the Site Construction team with all matters related to his discipline. The service holder is also accountable for demonstrating, individually, an exemplary behaviour regarding HSSE rules & requirements. The service holder may perform his missions at Subcontractors premises accordingly. To adopt and to demonstrate an exemplary behaviour regarding Company "Code of Conduct" and HSSE rules and regulations. To implement HSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility, and to comply with HSSE training requirements for the position. To be kept informed of the project technical referential and international standards related to his area of responsibility, taking knowledge from them for application to the Project. To develop, as required, Discipline specific instructions at Site Construction Site. To ensure proper answer (in coordination with Company’s engineering team when appropriated) to CONTRACTOR technical Site Queries related to his discipline. To ensure promotion and implementation by Site Construction team of the Project Site QC plan and procedures Mission: To ensure all along construction and fabrication phases that the Contractors are enforcing his contractual commitments, is implementing properly his construction plan and objectives, and is performing safely his activities as per Project specifications, design and codes Participate to KOM with Contractor/Subcontractor as required. Review the relevant Contractors and suppliers ITP's and procedures. Monitor and control the implementation on site of the approved drawings, approved QC plan, Surveillance plans, Inspection and test plans. Supervise the Project Surveillance and QC activities performed on Site. Review and ensure that all material certificates and certification files are up to date, including documentation from Vendors and Contractors. Challenge Contractor and Subcontractor on QC performance and Inspection activities, and to perform routine and random daily inspections. Monitor the work deficiencies and ensure the implementation of the necessary corrective actions. Follow up on the implementation of decided action plans, or other mitigation plan issued. Stop & report immediately to Quality Lead any anomaly or non-conformity. Interface with relevant Site Construction team and Contractor’s QC site authority on QC issues and on the implementation of the Company QC requirements. Attend and participate in daily meetings. Participate to construction, HSE or QC specific audits or visits. Ensure all materials are checked and verified by incoming control from materials receipt, storage and final use. Producing weekly, monthly reports and a dashboard of QA\QC KPIs to high standard and detail. Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site. Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to Quality lead non-conformances reports. Check the preparation of foundations. Check the correct preparation of reinforcements. Check the certifications regarding element mixes. LASTM test, chemical analysis, grain size analysis. Monitor atmospheric conditions during pouring operations. Monitor correct curing operations. Check the sampling operations (when required). Review the laboratory examination results. Check sub-grade dry density. Check moisture content. Checks compression strength test. Checks after execution of costing. Check after concrete purring. Check materials quality (wire, fitting etc.). Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications. Orderly collect, check and manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections carried out witnessing the tests, controls and inspections carried out. Check the conformity with the Quality Control Plan and obtain the relevant documentation. Check the documents certifying the tests, controls and inspections carried out. Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan according to Project requirements. To ensure the tracking of anomalies and non-conformities performed by the Contractor and ensure correct follow-up activities. To provide technical support and assistance to Company personnel, and to Contractors and Suppliers personnel as required. To report to the Quality Lead wrt to Discipline activities, in particular when deviations to works are detected. To ensure confidentiality of all the documentation issued under his area of responsibility OBSERVATIONS ON ACTIVITIES AND MISSIONS • To promote safety awareness at all levels through exemplary and pro-active attitude with Project team and Contractors. Qualifications Professional experience of working on major Civil/Building/Supervisor/QC works in similar position :15 years minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering Relevant training/certification in the QA/QC field. Languages: English mandatory • Have good communication skills • Highly developed cross-cultural influencing skills for work with personnel of varied nationalities and backgrounds. • Ready to adopt a flexible work approach. • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision. • Good team player. • The ability to transfer his know-how and “savoir-faire” to the Team Additional Information The MARSA LNG BUNKERING project will develop in Oman a regional hub for LNG bunkering service to ultimately supply LNG as fuel to marine vessels. The feed gas will come from COMPANY’s equity gas entitlement of Greater Barik field located in Block 10. The MARSA LNG BUNKERING project will build a new onshore midscale LNG plant in the Economic Excusive Area of the port of Sohar. The designated zone is a future reclaimed area delivered to the project by the Sohar Port Authorities together with a dedicated marine Jetty through a Lease agreement. The MARSA LNG BUNKERING project foresee the following main facilities for the PLANT: • LNG facilities with an LNG Train of about 1 MTPA capacity treating 150 mmscfd yearly average of feed gas, with associated inlet facilities, gas pre-treatment, HHC removal, Liquefaction, NRU, LNG storage tank and utilities systems with necessary storages. • Marine facilities with a jetty fit with offloading facilities for bunker vessels and/or LNG Export Carriers. • Utilities import facilities from third parties, • Power import facilities from a dedicated new-built Solar Plant and/or from national grid, • Operating support facilities. • The plant is designed to allow additional train of 1 MTPA (bringing the capacity to 2 MTPA). This requirement is considered in the design and the layout and with minimum associated investments for execution. Gas Transportation will be done by OQGN Company through a Transportation Agreement contract (OPEX) Base location: LNG Contractor’s Site in Sohar, Oman Status: residential (5 dayes per week) Start date: March 2026 Duration: 1 year, renewable
Responsibilities
