Responsibilities:

• Manage crew, equipment, and subtrades to complete projects on time/budget
• Collaborate with Superintendent, Project Management Team, Subcontractors, and Clients to ensure all aspects of the project are completed as expected
• Reading construction drawings, coordinating the days tasks, and managing associated paperwork
• Leader in health and safety as well as company culture
• Planning for upcoming work and communicating requirements to Superintendent and Project Management Team
• Working with the crew for all operations including earthworks, excavation, underground utilities, and surface work preparation

Skills and Experience:

• Prefer 4+ years of experience in Civil Construction with at least one year supervising employees
• Ability to lead, motivate, and promote growth within your crew
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Familiar with mass excavation, preparing sites to grade, and installation of utilities
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, specifications, equipment, and OH&S guidelines
• Strong work ethic, accountability, and positive team attitude

Requirements:

• Must have a current and valid Class 5 driver’s license/ drivers abstract
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
