Job Title: Civil Superintendent
Location: Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent with experienced in all aspects of Civil construction to oversee and manage construction projects primarily in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. As a Civil Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Civil Foreman, ensuring that all project activities are carried out efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the construction project on Multiple job sites.
• Report Directly to the Project Managers.
• Supervision and coordination of the of Civil Foreman , ensuring that they adhere to safety standards, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Manage construction materials and equipment, ensuring that they are utilized effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management and clients.
• Resolve any construction-related issues or conflicts that may arise during the project.
• Maintain good communication and working relationships with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Train, mentor and coach workers to enhance their skills and productivity.
• Ensure that all project activities are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years in a similar role .
• Operating experience an asset.
• Pipelaying experience is required.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Mid level experience with computer programs such as Excel, Bluebeam , and email is required.
• Valid driver’s license.
