JOB SUMMARY:

The Civil Supervisor will oversee construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. With over a decade of experience, the candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and a strong ability to manage teams and subcontractors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Education:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in civil or infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with construction software like AutoCAD, Primavera, or MS Project.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and decision-making capability.
  • Certifications (preferred):
  • PMP (Project Management Professional), NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent certifications.
Responsibilities
  • Project Supervision:
  • Oversee daily construction activities and ensure work aligns with project specifications, drawings, and standards.
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers to resolve technical issues.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead and manage a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance to the workforce.
  • Conduct regular meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and plan future tasks.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure construction quality meets company standards and client requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and verify that work complies with blueprints and engineering plans.
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations on-site.
  • Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and training sessions for workers.
  • Material and Resource Management:
  • Oversee the procurement, delivery, and storage of materials.
  • Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of equipment and resources.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed project records, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.
