POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Technician – Designer to join a dynamic team working on urban infrastructure projects, including roadways, water and sewer systems, and municipal or industrial developments.
Reporting to a project engineer, the technician will be responsible for technical design, 3D modeling, preparation of plans and specifications, and technical follow-up throughout the project lifecycle.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College diploma (DEC) in Civil Engineering Technology or Architectural Technology
  • 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (mandatory)
  • Good knowledge of applicable civil infrastructure codes and standards in Quebec
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy
  • Good communication skills in French (spoken and written)
Responsibilities
  • Prepare civil engineering design drawings (municipal infrastructure, roads, drainage, underground networks, etc.) using specialized software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, etc.)
  • Produce technical drawings in compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Assist in quantity take-offs and preparation of technical specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers, site supervisors, and other team members
  • Coordinate plans with other disciplines (e.g., structural, electromechanical)
  • Help update technical documents and compliance records
  • Occasionally conduct site visits for surveys or field verifications
