We are currently seeking a Civil Site Foreman to lead our on-site crews and help drive successful project delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in mentoring others while maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction, including underground utilities and site grading
  • Strong ability to read and understand civil drawings, grade stakes, and construction layouts
  • Proven leadership experience supervising crews in the field
  • Sound knowledge of heavy equipment and general construction practices
  • Must be physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to take on a variety of tasks with a positive, problem-solving mindset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — a true team leader
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License (or equivalent) required
  • Assets (not required):
  • Level 1 First Aid or higher
  • Air brake endorsement ("Air Ticket")
  • GPS layout or survey experience
Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day activities on civil construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to spec
  • Read and interpret civil drawings, site plans, and construction specifications
  • Plan and coordinate crew tasks, materials, and equipment for daily and weekly site operations
  • Monitor grades and layout using lasers or GPS as required
  • Communicate clearly with project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure adherence to company and WorkSafeBC safety protocols
  • Conduct daily tailgate meetings and contribute to site safety documentation
  • Provide on-site mentorship and training to laborers and operators
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent and Project Manager to ensure timelines and budgets are maintained
  • Identify potential issues early and proactively contribute to solutions
