We are a leading contractor based in the South West, specialising in a wide range of civil engineering, utility, and maintenance services.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for skilled and motivated working Forman / Agent to join our team and help us deliver excellence on a range of exciting and challenging contracts.
Position Overview:
You will play an essential role in the successful delivery of a variety of high-profile civils, utility, and maintenance contracts. Repeat of above

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage site operations, ensuring all works are completed to high standards, quality checking works throughout projects.
  • Allocate daily responsibilities and communicate updates
  • Guarantee all safety and quality measures are met throughout the project,
  • Oversee the health, safety, and welfare of the site teams. Separate point?
  • Input into the production of Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments
  • Identify potential hazards and proactively implement actions and controls, working in accordance with safety procedures and company policies.
  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors to ensure works are carried out safely, to specification, and within programme.
  • Ensure all health, safety, environmental and quality standards are implemented and maintained.
  • Monitor progress against programme and proactively address any issues that may cause delays.
  • Maintain accurate site records including daily logs, site photos, and progress reports.
  • Inspect works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
  • Support snagging and commissioning processes and liaise with clients and consultants during handover stages.
  • Carry out inductions, daily site briefings and daily inspections, recording any changes to methods of work or site conditions, ensuring method statements and risk assessments are followed
  • Have a full understanding of work objectives, programmes and project details to ensure the contract is carried out correctly to timescales, mark-up programmes and drawings with the progress on a weekly basis
  • Liaise with the Site and Project Manager and Site Engineer on any necessary changes to site activities
  • Identify any further training needs and review competencies of site personnel
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required

Preferred Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • CSCS/CPCS/NPORS/EUSR Card (desirable).
  • NRSWA (Street works) qualification (desirable).
  • Valid UK driving license (essential).
  • Experience with a range of machinery (preferred but not essential).
  • A background in Civil Engineering / Utility projects – Essential
  • Experience in supervising, motivating and supporting the training of groups of team members on site – Essential
  • A strong knowledge and demonstrable behaviours in Safety Awareness
  • SSSTS / SMSTS – Essential
  • A good ability to plan and manage time
  • A positive and professional attitude, with the confidence and talent to deliver excellence to our clients
  • Proven experience as a Site Foreman or Supervisor, preferably in construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications and setting out of projects.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • Competent with basic IT for reporting and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems on site.
