JOB OVERVIEW

A London based main contractor who operate within a niche market within the construction industry, with a strong pipeline of work, is seeking a Construction Manager with a civil engineering background. This person will manage civil engineering packages on high end residential, mixed use, or education sector construction projects. Types of packages to manage will include under pilling / foundations / subsidence related works / ground stabilisation / pilled rafts / micro pilling. The role will likely not be limited to just civils packages, and has the potential to also manage the general project pipeline alongside specialist civils related work as and when required.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a thorough understanding of civil construction processes, being able to manage, supervise and guide specialist sub-contractors and interpret drawings as well as in-house site teams.
This role will also offer some flexible working between sites, home, and the head office. This is a unique environment within the main contracting construction industry where work/life balance is highly valued.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in civil engineering or construction management is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, materials, and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
