Madisons Recruitment are recruiting for a Civils Design Project Manager to start ASAP for a Client of ours based in Yorkshire.
Our client is a Consutlancy firm seeking a dynamic and motivated Civils Design Project Manager to join their experienced Highways team. You will play a vital role in delivering cost-effective, client-focused solutions across a range of refurbishment and new-build infrastructure schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proactive, “can do” attitude to support and influence projects from inception to completion.

REQUIREMENTS (ESSENTIAL)

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • CSCS card (Black, Gold, or White), or qualified to obtain one.
  • Strong understanding of highway design standards.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and interpreting 2D drawings.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations.
  • Strong presentation and reporting skills.
  • Self-motivated with critical thinking abilities.

REQUIREMENTS (DESIREBALE)

  • Experience managing retail construction/redevelopment projects.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • CDM awareness training.
  • Asbestos Awareness certification.
  • Knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
  • CAD proficiency and ability to contribute to technical project delivery.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of roads and car parks to ensure safe and efficient transport solutions.
  • Manage all aspects of development for various construction and retail-related projects across the UK.
  • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels to define project objectives and deliverables.
  • Establish measurable goals and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation, ensuring all work is reviewed and approved accordingly.
  • Lead the delivery of retail construction and redevelopment projects, often in live environments.
  • Chair internal and external meetings, tracking actions through to completion.
  • Coordinate with cost consultants and contractors to drive timely, within-budget project delivery.
  • Take initiative and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver consistently high-quality work within budget and deadline constraints.
  • Demonstrate confidence in challenging poor practices.
  • Consider the needs of all stakeholders in decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure operational success.
  • Maintain strong, effective working relationships with all project stakeholders.
