ECS is currently looking for a dynamic and tenacious individual to join their experienced Team in the role of Estimator as per below Job description.
The primary function of the role is to secure business for the company from incoming customer enquiries at the required daily margin as set out in the company budget.
This will be achieved through engagement with the client at Pre-Qualification (PQQ) and Tendering/Enquiry stage to interpret and understand client requirements and expectations technically, commercially, and contractually. Then working with input from various parts of the ECS organisation including, but not limited to, the Operations Team, Training & Resources, Finance and Engineering generate a competitive technically and commercially compliant offer.
ECS is considered an expert in the filled of HV & EHV cable engineering and installation, it is important that the response to the clients is of the highest standard to reflect this expertise.
The commercial offer must be generated from sound financial principles as guided by the Finance Team and Directors of the company while providing a cost effective, value for money solution to the client and returning the requisite profitability for the company.
The Estimator is also required to review and comment on the Contractual Terms and Conditions attached to any offer and raise any areas of risk to the company with the Directors.
