Leading Civils Contractor in Munster with long term work in Area.
Are you an experienced Civils Foreman looking for a new opportunity with a leading Irish Main Contractor? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to oversee and coordinate civil engineering works across key infrastructure and construction projects in County Cork.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in a Civil Foreman role, with a strong background in earthworks, drainage, and groundworks.
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, residential, and commercial projects.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of site health & safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment, including GPS and laser levels.
  • Valid certifications in 360 Excavator, Site Dumper, Telehandler, and abrasive wheel operation.
  • First Aid certification is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate site teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient and high-quality project delivery.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure correct execution of works.
  • Oversee earthworks, drainage, groundworks, piling, underpinning, demolition, and concrete finishing.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health & safety regulations and enforce compliance across the site.
  • Operate and oversee the use of plant and machinery, including 360 Excavators, Site Dumpers, and Telehandlers.
  • Conduct surveying tasks using GPS and laser levels to establish accurate reference points and record as-built data.
  • Manage site logistics, material planning, and workflow sequencing to maintain project timelines.
  • Collaborate with engineers, service providers, and senior management to resolve technical challenges and implement solutions.
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, and safety documentation in line with company policies.
