Responsibilities
  • Enter First Reports/New Losses into the system
  • Review new losses for coverage prior to assigning to adjuster or Company
  • Send acknowledgements to brokers
  • Maintain accurate reserves for claim files
  • Analyze adjuster reports for coverage, accuracy and compliance with London requirements
  • Be able to make decisions regarding coverage of claims
  • Present applicable reports to London broker for authorization where necessary
  • Communicate required authorizations to adjusters and monitor communications between London and adjusters/attorneys
  • Answer London Company inquiries
  • Communicate with underwriting regarding policy issues/inconsistencies relating to losses
  • Issue payments to insureds / claimants
  • Prepare checks for mailing
  • Review adjuster and vendor invoices / set up for assistant to pay
  • Enter notes and payments into system to update claim status
  • Review daily follow ups
  • Follow up with adjusters for overdue reports
  • Handling incoming emails daily
  • Customer service for incoming calls from brokers, insureds, etc
  • Weekly meeting with claim manager or as needed
