The ideal candidate will be a client focused, highly professional with extensive experience in customer service within the real estate industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Law Clerk designation
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a real estate law clerk in a firm and/or title insurance environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of real estate practices, from start to finish, while understanding title issues and their resolution
  • Solid understanding and interpretation of current legal terminology
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Retain and instruct external professionals as needed (adjuster, lawyer, surveyor, appraiser, contractors
  • Negotiations of settlements, and review of files for potential recovery
  • Follow standard internal guidelines and processes with respect to file management, including naming conventions, efficient and orderly file entries, status updates, escalation process for coverage and denials, recording particulars in claims software, setting applicable reserves, requesting and making payments and closing completed files promptly
