Join a multi-disciplined Health & Benefits (H&B) team within the Human Capital business at Aon. Contribute to a team delivering exceptional value to clients across Accident & Health, Private Health, and Group Life insurances. Opportunity to further develop Life insurance expertise and extend knowledge across other employee benefit insurances. Claims Advocate, Health & Benefits Australia This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of Life Insurance advice and insurance solutions that meet agreed client outcomes. You will provide advocacy and support services for a portfolio of Health & Benefits claims (predominantly Group Salary Continuance insurance). The role will be supported by the lead Client Director and Client Managers/Executives within the H&B team. This is a full time opportunity based either in Sydney or Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available. What the day will look like Reporting to the team Client Director, key responsibilities will include: Provide advocacy and support services for a portfolio of Health & Benefits claims (predominantly Group Salary Continuance insurance). Assist individuals with the initial claims triage and assistance navigating the claims process Work with our varied client base to support claimants throughout the claims process Assist employers though the claims process Strategic claims management, including attending claims meetings with insurers and ensuring appropriate claim and rehabilitation strategies are in place Respond to client queries both email and by phone Ensure the system and client data is accurately saved and maintained Broaden your insurance knowledge by working closely with our team experts within the Health & Benefits team Any further ad-hoc projects across the team where required. Skills and experience that will lead to success Previous experience in Group Life insurance for a Life insurer and/or consultant/broker or similar organisation, for example superannuation fund/similar. Superior levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple client engagements across a diverse range of clients and stakeholders. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office suite, in-house designed databases). Superior time management and organisation skills with an ability to handle competing tasks. Exceptional communication skills to set and manage expectations at all levels both within Aon and with clients. Strong ability to be able to positively influence key decision makers. Disability/rehabilitation, workers comp, life insurance or accident & health claims experience would be desirable Passionate about relationship building and advocating for customers to get the best outcome An eye for systems and process improvement.
