Job Description We are hiring Claims Analysts to support FEMA’s Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon (HPCC) Claims Office. These analysts will help process, evaluate, and develop Proofs of Loss (POLs) for survivors of the Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon fire, ensuring timely and accurate compensation in accordance with federal law, regulations, and FEMA policy. This is high-volume, documentation-heavy work requiring strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with claims, case management, or disaster-related documentation. We are recruiting to build a scalable workforce capable of managing both straightforward and highly complex claims. Responsibilities Claims Analysts will: Review claimant submissions, supporting documentation, and Proofs of Loss for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility. Contact claimants or FEMA Navigators to clarify documentation requirements and gather additional evidence as needed. Apply FEMA policies, the HPCC Act, and 44 CFR Part 296 to determine eligible losses and compensation. Coordinate with Site Inspectors, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and other teams when valuations or additional analyses are required. Identify duplication of benefits across insurance, FEMA programs, settlements, or other compensation sources. Develop clear, accurate recommendations for compensation amounts supported by substantial documentation. Document casework accurately in FEMA’s System of Record (SOR) and maintain strict production timelines. Support the preparation of determination memorandums, issue analyses, and documentation summaries. Collaborate with QC, Appeals, and Team Leads to ensure consistency, accuracy, and policy alignment. Respond to workflow, documentation, and policy questions in real time as needed. Qualifications Required: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s preferred. 11+ years of experience in claims, case review, documentation verification, customer-facing case management, or analytical support. Ability to review and evaluate documentation, identify inconsistencies, and follow structured workflows. U.S. Citizenship (required for FEMA Public Trust). Additional Information This position is contingent upon contract award. BryceTech offers a full range of benefits, including competitive salary, a comprehensive health plan including dental and vision coverage, company-paid life & disability insurance policies, 401(k) plan with company match, and an educational reimbursement program. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
