Keenan has an exciting career opportunity for a Claims Approver. As a Claims Approver you will accurately adjudicate high volume benefit claims in accordance with all Plan provisions and within ERISA timely guidelines and respond promptly and professionally to issues related claims and benefits. How you'll make an impact Process claims and adjust claims previously processed incorrectly; determine appropriate action for reversal and/or reprocessing, request refund if necessary, and compose and distribute any other necessary correspondence. Follow-up on pending claims, review claim reports and call logs to determine necessary action, request additional information as needed, bring closure to claims when requested data has not yet been received. Refer complex claims and related service issues to Senior Claim Approvers due to intricacy, multiple procedures and/or dollar limits. Identify and process claims through Keenan vendors (e.g., network repricing, TPL) Observe and report trends. Other duties as assigned. Compensation: The target salary range for this position is $48,000 to $52,000 (US Dollar) annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. About You Required: High school diploma and 0-1 year of customer service experience required. Preferred: 3 years previous group claims experience is preferred. with at least 1 years’ experience with self-funded/PPO claims recommended. Knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with standard reference materials, required. Completion of HIAA Group Courses is preferred. Excellent problem-solving and written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient in Outlook, Excel, and MS Word. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
