POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Assistant to join our team on a full-time temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about efficient claims management.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and organize claim file documentation, ensuring all necessary paperwork is obtained and uploaded accurately
  • Perform high-accuracy data entry and ongoing updates related to claims
  • Create and maintain departmental spreadsheets for reporting and tracking
  • Communicate professionally with drivers regarding claims status and required documentation
  • Coordinate with other terminals to verify and clarify claim-related details
  • Provide general administrative support as needed to assist the claims team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field is an asset but not required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced administrative or clerical role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (above average skills required), Outlook, and Word
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional tone
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Typing speed of 50 words per minute or higher.
