Position Overview Lockton is seeking a process-oriented individual who is passionate about providing exceptional service to Associates and Clients. The Claims Consultant is responsible for supporting the claims reporting and handling process, with a focus on professionalism, proficiency, and accuracy. This consultant is also responsible for claims data collection and analysis. Core Responsibilities Facilitate the claims reporting process between involved parties Analyze and review insurance claims for accuracy and completeness, obtaining information as necessary Receive claim information from clients and verify current insurance coverage Report claim information accurately and promptly to the appropriate insurance carrier on behalf of the Client Enter claim information into respective system(s) for tracking and reporting purposes Field questions and act on requests concerning claim information Collaborate with Claims Advocates to achieve accurate and timely claim reporting Proactive in handling claims correspondence and identifying matters requiring immediate attention Maintain and update shared claims program in Salesforce Engaging with other departments regarding exchange of information and/or client requests Collaborate and assist Claim Advocates with ongoing open matters, providing updates to carrier adjusters Assist other advocates in carrier and client meetings. Assist advocates with clients’ questions or update requests Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; or equivalent education and work experience Prior insurance and/or claims experience highly preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Working knowledge of Salesforce products Excellent written and verbal communication skills including professional phone etiquette High level of business acumen with an interest in understanding the importance of the claims process Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work within time constraints Ability to effectively manage time and priorities Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of Client and company information Ability to make decisions with accuracy and confidence when faced with incomplete information. Highly organized and ability to triage multiple priorities Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for this position, now or in the future
