Job Description We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Claims Handler to manage day-to-day insurance matters for a multinational ship management company. The role requires strong English communication skills and the ability to coordinate closely with insurers and stakeholders during routine and emergency situations. Key Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for insurers regarding claims, inquiries, and clarifications. Gather and prepare explanations and documentation to support claim submissions and responses. Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team. Lead communications with clubs, underwriters, and third parties during emergency cases. Monitor and maintain accurate records of incidents, associated activities, and costs. Open and manage claims in the ERP system, ensuring timely notification and ongoing communication with insurers. Review and verify claim-related invoices, ensuring completeness and accuracy of supporting documents. Prepare and submit claims statements to insurers and follow through until funds are received and claims are closed. Record insurance policies in PAL and create purchase orders for insurance-related expenses; participate in invoice approval. Prepare and generate periodic reports for the insurance department. Requirements At least 3 years of relevant experience in a mid- to large-sized company or insurance firm. Proficient in MS Office; experience with ERP systems required. Strong team player with a positive and collaborative attitude. Experience in the maritime sector is an advantage. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Highly organized, proactive, accurate, and detail-focused.
