Description

Key Responsibilities:Managing a wide variety of claims from notification through to settlement, ensuring efficient handling and compliance with relevant regulations.
Evaluating and assessing claims thoroughly, including reviewing evidence, determining legal liability, particularly in the context of workplace and public injury incidents.
Applying relevant legislation and regulations in claims handling, including familiarity with EL/PL claims protocols, health and safety laws.
Effectively negotiating settlements with claimants, insurers, legal teams, and other stakeholders, ensuring a fair resolution in line with legal requirements.
Explaining complex legal and insurance concepts clearly and concisely to all parties involved, including claimants, their legal representatives, employers, and insurers.
Identifying and managing fraudulent claims and taking appropriate action to prevent or address fraud in EL/PL/injury claims.
Managing claims through the litigation process, adhering to required timescales and procedures.
Supporting both internal and external teams, providing expert EL/PL and injury claims handling support on a secondment basis.
