Description Start learning the Claims function on day one of this unique internship opportunity. During the course of your internship, you will have the opportunity to handle simple property damage and liability claims. You will work closely with the appropriate claims supervisor to learn how to promptly contact claimants to acknowledge receipt of their claims, verify coverage level and deductibles on new claims, pay and settle claims, handle subrogation and salvage recovery, collect and enter information in the claims system, and provide customer service to claimants by assisting telephone callers with questions and requests. All PLM Internships are located in our Center City Philadelphia office. Requirements Must be a student in a four-year college or university. Must be able to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks. Must be able to work in our center city Philadelphia office. Risk Managment/Insurance major preferred.
Responsibilities
The intern will learn the Claims function by handling simple property damage and liability claims, which includes contacting claimants, verifying coverage, and settling claims. Responsibilities also involve handling subrogation and salvage recovery, entering data into the claims system, and providing customer service to callers.
