As a team, Claims is about finding ways to help policyholders find solutions. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced claims professional to join the team and handle primary Executive Risk matters (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime). You will also provide assistance to the underwriting team and manage/collaborate with a variety of vendors, namely: defense counsel and coverage counsel for Coalition and its carrier partners. This is a remote position which can be based anywhere in the United States. Responsibilities Evaluate a full pending of claims including recommending and posting accurate reserves Maintain accurate file documentation/information in our claims system Assess liability and damages in complex claims Identify and evaluate insurance coverage issues Guide and track third-party vendors and service providers’ work and costs Maintain and develop relationships with brokers, policyholders, and a variety of vendors Identify settlement opportunities where appropriate Collaborate in the defense and resolution of claims Provide data and reason-based informational assistance to underwriters Provide assistance to business development team with regard to marketing Liaise with partner carriers on a daily basis Skills and Qualifications 3+ years of experience handling Executive Risk (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Crime) claims Bachelors Degree required; JD a plus Must be a licensed claims adjuster in your state of residence or designated home state and able to obtain licensing for California, New York, and other states Demonstrated experience in working as part of a team, interacting with others, meeting goals, and performing successfully in a changing work environment Excellent communication and interactive skills Strong aptitude to work proactively and excel in a collegial environment Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The US base salary for this position ranges from $110,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $160,000/year in our highest geographic market. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location. Responsibilities
The Claims Manager will evaluate a full pending of claims, recommending and posting accurate reserves while maintaining detailed file documentation. Responsibilities also include assessing liability and damages in complex claims and guiding third-party vendors like defense and coverage counsel.
