The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance. Start your journey with us The Material Damage Auto Specialist associate will support the Claims Department by conducting quality assurance audits of staff appraisals, serving as a technical resource for auto repair, and occasionally completing virtual auto repair appraisals for customers. This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio Be Ready to: Conduct quality assurance audits of staff appraisals and provide management with recommendations for training and development of staff adjusters, support of new initiatives, best practices, and state compliance Support the Claims Department by serving as a technical resource to associates as it pertains to vehicle repair, alternative parts utilization, and total loss conditioning On occasion, complete quality auto repair appraisals based on photographs Includes initial and supplemental auto repair appraisals and negotiating with repair facilities Be equipped with: Experience: minimum of 2 years of auto repair estimating I-CAR, ASE, and technical school training is a plus but not required use of auto repair estimating software two years of claims department experience is a plus but not required use of Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Word and Excel Skills: expertise in auto nomenclature, design, technology, construction, damage analysis and repair techniques for body panels and unibody/frames negotiating skills analytical skills detail oriented effective verbal and written communication skills present and deliver quality assurance results to management Qualities ability to obtain and maintain adjuster/appraiser licenses in some states ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting and maintaining predetermined service levels ability and willingness to adapt to change and new responsibilities as they become needed The above declarations are not intended to be an “all-inclusive” list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described, nor are they intended to be such a listing of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
