Start your journey with us The Property Material Damage Specialist associate will support the Claims Department by conducting reviews and reinspection’s of staff property appraisals, serve as a technical resource for property repair, and occasionally completing virtual property repair appraisals for customers. The position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio. The pay range for this position is $70,000- $110,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and individual performance. Be ready to: conduct reviews of in-process or closed property staff appraisals and quality assurance audits (reinspections) of complex residential & commercial staff property appraisals support the Claims Department by serving as a technical resource to associates for property repair, contents claims, and completing property appraisals with property estimating software and associated tools possesses required State adjuster and appraiser licenses as needed on occasion, complete quality property repair appraisals based on photographs prepares/compiles team reinspection results and delivers presentations to Leadership and field teams. project leader of internal initiatives for continued improvement, training opportunities, workflow development, and POCs completed or working towards Level 3 Xactimate certification leads new hire Property Scoping and Estimating training assist CAT operations when needed both virtually and in-person Be equipped with: minimum of 3 years of property repair estimating IICRC certification and/or technical school training is a plus but not required use of property repair estimating software two years of claims department experience is a plus but not required use of Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Skills expertise in property nomenclature, design, technology, construction, damage analysis and repair techniques for residential and commercial property structures negotiating skills analytical skills detail oriented effective verbal and written communication skills present and deliver quality assurance results to management to include recommendations for training and development of staff adjusters, support of new initiatives, best practices, and state compliance Qualities ability to obtain and maintain adjuster/appraiser licenses in some states ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting and maintaining predetermined service levels ability and willingness to adapt to change and new responsibilities as they become needed The above declarations are not intended to be an “all-inclusive” list of the duties and responsibilities of the job described, nor are they intended to be such a listing of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
