We are seeking a Claims/ Monitoring Specialist who will play a key role in upholding our commitment to quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction by ensuring warranty claims are reviewed and resolved with accuracy, fairness, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Claims/ Monitoring Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping and scaling our claims operations across both B2B and B2C product lines. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, accuracy, and overall experience of the claims process, from guiding inputs and analyzing submissions to managing backlog prioritization and aligning with cross functional teams. You will also contribute to data quality and insights for our B2C product, SolarDetect, helping ensure accurate inputs, actionable analysis, and continuous product improvement. This is a unique opportunity to influence operational strategy, introduce best practices, and help define how claims and product delivery are executed within an innovative, mission driven insurtech environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and analyze submitted warranty product claims to determine eligibility based on policy terms.
  • Proactively monitor system performance and provide technical support to contractors and homeowners, assisting in identifying and resolving issues related to solar installation and system failures.
  • Collect and validate necessary documentation (photos, invoices, system details) to support claim approvals.
  • Serve as a liaison between contractors, customers, and internal departments to ensure efficient claims resolution.
  • Approve or escalate claims based on predefined guidelines and communicate outcomes effectively.
  • Ensure all claims comply with Solar Insure policies and industry regulations. Track trends and report insights to improve claim resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline claims handling and improve the customer experience.
  • Review and validate Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) for accuracy and completeness, and submit approved RMAs for payment processing.
  • Audit claims by logging into the manufacturer portals, verifying the errors or issues, ensuring the repair dates and claims match what is in the portals.
  • Support data input and analysis for SolarDetect to improve customer outcomes and generate actionable internal insights
  • Actively contribute to team meetings and use tools such as Jira to ensure transparency, progress tracking, and accountability
  • Be ready to back up the CSR and Monitoring teams on the phones as needed to assist warranty holders
