Claims Operations Leader* 

You will be responsible for the claims handling organization and lead the team's activities to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. In this key role, you will oversee the department's processes and strategic direction. You will manage the impact and implementation of changes to achieve operational goals and improve process efficiency. Claims Operations is a key part of Marsh Germany's overall claims department, responsible for handling smaller claims and high-frequency claims.

  • You will lead Claims Operations strategically and operationally, ensuring the achievement of set goals. You are responsible for the vision, leadership, and strategic direction, and act as a hands-on leader. 
  • You manage the team, capacities, resources and budget to sustainably ensure service quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction. 
  • You drive change processes, innovations and the continuous optimization of structures, processes and workflows. 
  • You will work closely with regional and international management teams as well as internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and customer-oriented claims handling. 
  • You coach, develop and support employees and promote knowledge transfer and collaboration within and outside the department. 
  • You will act as the central point of contact for escalations as well as for technical and procedural questions. 
  • You manage stakeholder relationships, build strong partnerships to secure consensus and successfully implement change processes. 
  • You will monitor the optimal allocation of roles, costs, and locations within Germany and establish collaboration with our Centers of Excellence. 
  • You monitor the development and implementation of the target organization for claims settlement, optimize the location structure and manage the annual budget. 

This is what makes you who you are: 

  • You have at least 5 years of management experience in claims management, ideally in the insurance industry. 
  • You bring sound experience in transformation environments and in the successful support of change processes. 
  • You impress with your strong stakeholder management skills and proven success in independently leading and implementing changes. 
  • You have completed vocational training in the insurance sector, a commercial degree or a comparable qualification. 
  • You have several years of practical experience in handling damages in a commercial or industrial environment and a very good understanding of the relevant processes. 
  • You analyze complex issues in a structured manner, make well-founded decisions, and independently develop viable solutions. 
  • You are characterized by a high degree of responsibility, commitment, social competence and independence. 
  • You work in a structured and goal-oriented manner and bring project experience as well as a strong awareness of quality. 
  • You enjoy working with people and developing and promoting teams. 
  • You have very good English skills as well as very good MS Office skills.
