As the Major Events Field Claims Representative II you will investigate, negotiate, and settle intermediate habitational, farm and commercial property claims for major events. You will also provide support for our claims operations by handling regular property claims during times when major events and associated claims volumes have decreased.   HOW YOU WILL CREATE IMPACT: * Investigating, interpreting coverage, negotiating and settling major events property claims and regular property claims. * Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure efficiency, loss control, timeliness and quality of claims settlements, including performing on-site damage evaluations, preparation of and/or reconciliation of estimates, and cash settlements. * Coaching, training, and providing technical support to the claims team. * Conducting initial calls with clients, determining coverage, completing building appraisal reviews, arranging for payment, and settlement of claims. * Providing exceptional client service in accordance with our claims service and quality standards, with the view of enabling the organization to be the industry leader in client engagement.   HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED: * You influence change and are committed to continuous improvement, in order to exceed client expectations. * You leverage critical thinking skills to identify problems and proactively propose solutions. * Your strong communication skills allow you to clearly convey messages. * You’re an effective team player who shares knowledge to support our peers.   TO JOIN OUR TEAM: * You have three years of experience in insurance, business or a related field.  * You have a post-secondary education in a related discipline. * You have or are working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. * You are working towards being licensed in PEI, NB and NL. * This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.    WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: * You will travel regularly during Major Events. Extended time away at short notice is possible. * You are required to have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance. * Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required during peak periods and major events. * You will provide support to clients who are experiencing a personal or financial loss. Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.  
Responsibilities
