Join our Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Liability and Disputes team as a Claims Resolution Specialist, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping outcomes for complex claims. This position combines strategic legal expertise, evidence-based decision-making, and effective advocacy to achieve cost-efficient resolutions. You’ll influence claims practices through insightful analysis, legislative awareness, and continuous improvement initiatives. By preparing submissions, guiding resolution strategies, and monitoring performance trends, you’ll help deliver exceptional results for our customers and stakeholders while driving strong people, financial, and risk outcomes. This is a 12-month max-term full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) or Meanjin (Brisbane). What You'll Do • Prepare submissions for Personal Injury Commission assessments. • Conduct internal reviews and provide strategic advice on liability and resolution strategies. • Deliver expert guidance throughout formal dispute processes. • Monitor claims performance and identify emerging trends. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with legislative and case law developments. • Support timely, evidence-based decisions to improve claims outcomes. • Contribute insights to enhance overall CTP claims practices. What You'll Bring • Legal expertise in dispute resolution, with a deep understanding of relevant legislation and the ability to navigate complex legal processes confidently. • Tertiary qualifications in law or a related legal field. • Preferred experience in CTP claims and CTP dispute resolution, with technical proficiency in managing complex cases. • Capable of balancing business improvement initiatives with customer, regulator, and community expectations. • Ability to provide high-quality advice on liability, evidence, and resolution strategies. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the resilience to manage challenging situations and drive positive outcomes.
